History of Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton is French brand and one of the most famous and popular fashion house globally.  Louis Vuitton has made various products : sunglasses, shoes, bags, belts, watches, wallets, jackets, etc. Even though the prices are really high, expensive, lots of women long for Louis Vuitton bag and other products. Also Louis Vuitton bag is one of the favorites of many celebrities.
Louis Vuitton is found in 1854, has been for over one hundred year, in France. This brand is named for the founder name, Louis Vuitton. Unlike people's expectations, the founder of LV is a man, not a woman. Louis Vuitton often be shortened to LV.
I want to write shortly about his life and background of Louis Vuitton. He came to Parish when he bacame 14 years old. In Paris, he became the apprentice of Marechal and packed nobles' for their travel. At that time, when noblewomen traveled, they wore long dress and brough dozens of trunks. And also those trunks were very inefficient; trunks were round-shaped so it was hard pile up one by one. After that, he packed and started to make the trunks(similar with bagabes) which were rectangular shaped. He became popular with nobles, royalties, queens and celebrities; then he started his bag business. Many of them tried to order him the special travel bagages. The trunks that he made was strong, waterproof with canvas. These bag was sold at Louis Vuitton boutique. This boutique was really influential with its location. His trunks were respected as genius' invention.
As he became famous, there were many imitations which were really similar with his. So he made gray trianon, red stripe patter, cross stripes to prevent producing imitations. Finally in 1896, his son, Georges Vuitton married its unique Louis Vuitton pattern with his father's initial, LV. The monogram canvas which is famous was made by Louis Vuitton's son, Georges Vuitton. At that time, he influenced Art Nouvea, and he created the monogram canvas repeating flower and hives. This monogram canvas was unsed in all of Louis Vuitton products and this led the flexible trunk that can be folded. Additionally, this monogram canvas is one of the successful items of Louis Vuitton.
Louis Vuitton divided broadly into 5(product) lines: Monogram, Damier, Epi, Monogram Vernis, Taiga.
Damier was revived with centenary of monogram. It is the check with dark brown and beige and chocolate colored trimming.
Epi was appeared in 1986, which this brand adopted bright colors. It was the development of the product made with the leather of special pattern. This contains durability. But it was weak at sweat, water, and frictions. By these outward influences, its color would comes out so it should be careful.
Monogram Vernis was born with modernism when Mark Jacobs entered the Louis Vuitton. Monogram was modernized by coating enamel above the cowhide.WIth Jacob's sense, this gained apopularity.Vernis of monogram vernis means glittering in French.
Taiga attracted mondial men with matching maleness and elegance. It was started in 1993 targeting young and active urban male. But it was weak at water-proofing so it should be cleaned well.
In Louis Vuitton history, there are two anecdotes ; first one was at French WorldCup in 1998. The Louis Vuitton made and sold 3000 soccer ball with monogram canvas pattern, then donated to Unicef. The other one was in 2002. The Louis Vuitton Teddy bear which was displayed in Teddy Bear Museum was auctioned off with an all-time highest price, 130,000 franc as a doll. 130,000 franc is 230 million won in Korea money.
As everyone knows this brand, Louis Vuitton has been loved by many people for over 150 years, through five generations.
I think Louis Vuitton contributed a lot to modern bag and patten. LV was a genius inventor. Through five generations, the Louis Vuittion has been developed all tht time.
